1948

1948 was the eighth of its kind built, and one of the first SG280Hs to be equipped for use on the O-Bahn Busway. Originally in the Bi-Centennial stripes, it was one of a handful repainted into O-Bahn stripes.

By the time of privatisation, it had been removed from the Busway to operate regular route services. However, it had not seen the last of the track, as Torrens Transit re-equipped it during the mid-2000s, and it became one of very few SG280Hs to operate the Busway twice in its life.

Preserved in 2016, 1948 will be restored into the O-Bahn stripes. When purchased in 2016, the new owners retro-fitted a new Hanover destination system to replace the failed original STC-Cannon unit, and it regularly receives destination updates from its owner.
